“Coulée verte” or “Promenade plantée”, sketches
La promenade plantée est une balade suspendue. Elle traverse tout le 12e arrondissement de Paris dans sa longueur (4,5 km). Elle emprunte le trajet d’une ancienne voie ferrée dont le trafic a cessé en 1969. La gare terminus était à la Bastille à l’emplacement actuel de l’opéra, les trains allaient jusqu’à Saint-Maur là où il y a maintenant le RER A. La promenade plantée démarre derrière l’opéra Bastille. Elle surplombe l’avenue Daumesnil jusqu’au jardin de Reuilly : c’est le fameux Viaduc des Arts. L’allée Vivaldi constitue ensuite la partie commerçante de la promenade. Puis celle-ci continue en tunnels et en tranchées et on finit par rejoindre la porte dorée et le bois de Vincennes. Mes croquis se portent essentiellement sur l’Architecture et la façon dont la promenade traverse les immeubles.//The “promenade plantée” is a walk suspended. It runs through the 12th arrondissement of Paris in its length (4.5 kilometers). It borrows the route of an old railway track traffic ceased in 1969. The railway terminus was at the Bastille to the current location of the opera, the trains were going to Saint-Maur where he is now the RER A. The walk starts planted behind the Bastille Opera. It overlooks the Daumesnil Reuilly’s garden: the famous Viaduc des Arts. The Vivaldi is gone then the commercial part of the walk. Then it continues in tunnels and trenches and we finally reach the golden door and the Bois de Vincennes. My sketches will focus on Architecture and how the walk through the buildings.
